One of my earliest kindergarten report cards read:

"Tracey has a deep love of animals, in particular dogs and horses."
Some things never change.

I don’t remember a time when these two animals were not my passion. I love all living things (mostly, maybe not spiders), but dogs and horses have always been tops. I am the granddaughter of farmers; dairy farmers in particular. I learned to ride on the back of a Guernsey milk cow when I was three or four years old. It was only natural that my grandparents would buy me my first horse, and then my parents decided that perhaps I needed a pony of my own at home.

Dogs have always been important in my life as well, with my father one of the original three K-9 officers in our little city. I grew up with a deep respect for the dog, of what they needed and what they could do. It easily helped shape my life with both of my passions. Although we’d lived on a shy five acre parcel for several years, it was the fall of 2021 that we found this farm…Woodpecker Farm. It is my refuge. My joy. I wake in the mornings in awe of the beauty surrounding me. I feel beyond blessed to be living this life and am excited to share it with you.
